Peninsula
Aranda/Lasch created an exhibit system for the Museum of Modern Art show On Site: New Architecture in Spain open February 12 to May 1, 2006. Working with Terence Riley and the MoMA's exhibit designers, the idea was hatched to produce a set of "peninsulas" for the display of models using a three-dimensional tiling system - paying tribute to Spain's geography as well as its rich architectural legacy. This tiling involved designing and fabricating a single modular unit out of eps foam that would lock with itself in a variety of ways, never repeating and always formatted to fit its architectural models.
